OBSCURA QALMA'S FIRST EP 'FROM THE SHEOL TO THE APEIRON' OUT NOW

The new Italian band, born from members of As Memory Dies, From The Shores and Livyatan is ready to unleash the first EP.

Born in 2018, Obscura Qalma has been working hard since when the 4 current members got together.
Sirius on vocals, guitars, and addings, was the founding member of the symphonic metal band Supremacy. Sartorius, on guitars, was the guitarist for the melodic death metal act As Memory Dies, very active in early 2000. Res has been playing for various bands around Venice area. Theo was bass player and founding member of From The Shores, who played hundreds of gigs all around Europe.

The outcome of these four different experiences is what makes Obscura Qalma a blackened death metal band where orchestrations have a central role in compositions and are not only something more to add to the song.
Speed, melody, groove and orchestrations are elements that Obscura Qalma mix in order to craft a sound to call their own.

OBSCURA QALMA-FROM THE SHEOL TO THE APEIRON-COVER ARTWORK-NESTOR AVALOS-NESTOR

'From The Sheol To The Apeiron' is their first EP

The EP has been mixed and mastered by Fabrizio Gesuato (The Big Jazz Duo) at Inverno StudioThe title itself designs an arc, an ascent from the lowest of lows to the highest peak. A metaphor for the limitations of a neverending pursuit for perfection.

Four songs (‘Misanthropic Perception’, ‘Apokalepse’, ‘Roots Of Evil’ and ‘Haze Of Reason’), that are the output of a lot of work, started when the band was a duo at the very beginning.

The art of Marcelo Vasco and P2R Design (Machine Head, Dark Funeral, Slayer) who took care of the logo, and Nestor Avalos (Rotting Christ, Dark Funeral, Melechesh) who took the cover album duty, gave the best rendition possible of the EP’s imaginary.

The EP will be available for pre-order on March 5th, 2019, through Metal  Scrap Records, the biggest Ukrainian independent label.
‘From The Sheol To The Apeiron’ will then be available digitally worldwide through all major digital outlets, such as Amazon, Itunes, Deezer, Spotify, Google Play and so on.

The first lyric video for ‘Apokalepse’ will be out on April 5th, 2019 through The Circle Pit.

The band will support the EP with shows that will follow the release.
